I come to you in the memory of Anna Mae, an Activist who was murdered for speaking out against uranium contamination of water on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the 70's. I live in Athens, OH and am currently part of a group of people trying to keep a uranium recycling plant from coming to Piketon, OH. I have Been telling everybody I can about the fight against nukes out in California. As well as the fight going on here.

Here's a phrase for thought that might make a great t-shirt

"GET
University
of
California

OUT OF
NUCLEAR
&
Spell LEARN
Not HATE"

NUCLEAR - UC = NLEAR switch the N to the end and it spells LEARN.

The word is spreading. I found out from some one that a hunger strike was going on in California but, he did not know what University it was at, and did not know how many people were a part of it. When I found out how many were a part of the strike and that the the hunger strikers had pasted the one week mark, I have been telling people ever since. Many people I've talked to were shocked to hear of what was going on. Many said they would look it up and some even said what can we do to help. To every body I have said look it up and tell others (each one teach one). I also came up with a chant.

44 in Cali
Fighting for whats right

44 in Cali
Going HungryEvery night

44 in Cali
Have put their Bodies on the line

Get the Nuke Labs Out of UC
Quit telling us Lies

We Must Keep up the Good Fight, They can't Silence Us All. If protesters can kick Taco bell off of 14 campuses in support of Farm Workers (Who later won their fight) . We can kick Nuke Labs Out Of UC. Don't ever give up.

Here is a paper I wrote that has helped several people solve problems they could not or had trouble solving. -Wind Walker-

How to simply Remove a Monkey
Monkey an animal yes but, so much more. According to Webster's Third New International Dictionary a Monkey is a desperate irresistible desire for or addiction to drugs regarded as an intolerable burden often used in the phrase Monkey on ones back
A monkey as many sees it is not always associated with drugs, but is associated with anything weighing down or holding someone back. A monkey according to Scrabble now is to mimic.
As some see it life is a tree and don't monkeys live in trees. So that gives some reason for monkeys on our back. But life is also a circle; to be more precise many circles within a circle more or less links in a chain linked in a circle. Each link a moment, Each moment a lesson, Each lesson a monkey to teach that lesson. The monkey knows how to survive from mimicking others and teaches us by mimicking the lesson. The monkey may go but the link is always left behind. New links are always added all the time, but old ones removed only when there is a new link there to replace it.
We are all born with monkeys so these ones are harder to remove then other monkeys and may take longer to do so because we have been born with them. All we can hope to do is to keep them at bay i.e.… well fed until we find their home. Every time we learn something our tree produces fruit and when we cease to learn we are no longer fruitful i.e.… no longer feeding the monkey. Some of us are born with more than others i.e.… Mental Illness; so to keep them from causing us havoc they need to be kept well fed i.e. … medication. These monkeys we are born with have a tendency to come back more often then any other: so even when we have removed them they may still think we have not learned their lesson when we have and come back. So now that we know more of what a monkey is we can began to break down how to remove it.
You first have to realize you have a monkey, but if you are reading this you may already know you have one. Because once you realize you have one you then can try to figure out what kind of monkey it is. Once that is known and since we know that monkeys are here to teach us a lesson, we can then begin to find out what lesson it has for us and analyze what the lesson means and figure it out. Now that you have an answer you must figure out how it got there in the first place. Some monkeys you are born with, others come in when you're up or down. Your energy may be low though your happy or maybe your feeling down in the dumps so a door was opened and it came in: or maybe you were up and it let it self in and it took so long to teach it's lesson it forgot where the door was it came in. So if a monkey does not know how to leave it may see a monkey come in a door and go out that door and if it is the wrong door it will come back upset and may mess with you until it finds it's door and leaves. So you must find its door open it and give the monkey a gift and help it on its way. If a gift is not given to the monkey it may go out the door but, also it may leave it's tail wrapped around you because it might feel you have not fully learned it's lesson and are just trying to get rid of it. The gift helps show the monkey you have sincerely learned its lesson and are not just trying to shove it out the door. Any monkey can come back if another monkey needs its help to teach its lesson. If that monkey was there for a short time it may feel it was not there long enough for you to fully learn it's lesson but, if it had been there a long time it will be upset that it has to come back to re teach a you a lesson you should of already learned from it being there so long before. If a gift had been given when the monkey left it won't be as upset if it has to come back.
So as we see it we will always have monkeys on our backs at one time or another. I just hope the Information I have given you will now help you understand and remove monkeys.
